Wednesday 18 May 2011: Some things are best viewed from behind

Like Ken Dodd.

In this case, after a rather underpopulated blip lunch at the mosque, I wandered through Nicolson Square to Blackwells, and spotted this monument for the first time. It turns out that it's a commemorative monument to brass founders in the city, recorded in the RCAHMS.

I photographed it from behind because that was the way the light fell and because I also like Edinburgh corners.
