Saturday 21 May 2011: To Weed Or Not To Weed
I really like poppies, the huge, floppy variety, lilac or bright red. However I wonder what to do about the very prolific little Welsh variety. They grow like weeds! Some years I rush around like crazy, pulling them out, other times, like now, I just want to sit back and be thankful for the delicate splashes of yellow and orange around the garden.
I'm feeling sorry for them today, it's been raining and they are all hanging their heads.
