Tuesday 24 May 2011: This Ear Fox
Remember this scrawny fox from exactly a week ago? Looking slightly healthier tonight as I headed to the Figgate Park for a wee Blipmeet, though clearly still suffering a bit from mange.
Anyway, down at the Figgy already was Trev, and as we chatted the House Martins went mental in the skies above us. It was only too late that I realised the reason for the shrieking was a Sparrowhawk they were chasing away. We were soon joined by Meles and DaveH, and then Sands. Time was spent trying to shoot the House Martins, Swallows and Swifts (unsuccessful); spot the Little Grebes (from a distance); and pondering the gathering large grey clouds. And so it was off up to the Sheep Heid for a relaxing pint or two mulling over Great White Sharks, Prince Charles and Ronnie Corbett (with connections between 2 of those 3...).
