Aberson Brick Making Machine. Part II

From yesterdays Blip the clay is forced down the srcew tower and then the Press Quadrant forces the very wet clay through the die plate, which the holes are shaped like a dog bone, and then into the washed and sanded molds.

From here the 7 brick mold goes to the pallet store and a stainless steel flat pallet is placed on top of the mold. Then the mold is turned upside down and knocked to release the bricks, as you can see by the sanded mud pies that are entering the dryer car.
This process continues relentlessly and once the dryer car is full it then goes to the tunnel dryer where the bricks are dried very slowy to remove all that water we have just put in it.

Sorry about these two shots but this machine is quite complex and can not be blipped in one shot., but I think you get the Idea.

This process is much more complex than the one at my newer works, and is more dirty.

We have to clean down this machine every night with masses amounts of water, which luckerly we have on site in the form of lagoons in our Quarry.
Two men are employed to do this job.
