Darrrammma

Off down town to see Dunsinane at the Lyceum. The play picks up on the aftermath of Macbeth with an occupying (English) army sent North to secure their northern border. Strong parallels (though not overdone) with Afghanistan, of course. The set was pretty striking, with neat music (echoes of the Velvets) and a terrific performance from Siobhan Redmond. It did peter out towards the end though, but a couple of pints of Kruzovice in the Traverse Theatre Bar with A & J made missing the Champions League Final seem quite irrelevant. I gather it was a bit one sided anyway, as you might have imagined.
Has the wind dropped yet?
