The first view is always the best!

The moment we drive over the crest of the hill the full drama and sweep of Embleton Bay is revealed and I look forward to it with almost childlike anticipation. We've been coming back to Low Newton by the Sea twice a year since 2006 when we first discovered it on a walk from Craster. Today we are back with my mum and dad.

We?ve never been in May before and the pasture and paths are covered in swathes of cow parsley, yellow rattle and cowslips, as well as buttercups, which can be seen in this image.

The photograph was taken in the evening, in rather poor light and a strong wind so I decided to use a Topaz filter to modify the photo.
