Churchyard daisies

Well you know how it is when you are preparing to go away for a week. There are plants to sort out and leave in a way that neighbours can look after them, cars to wash and clothes too.

And then to add to this pressure you learn that you are supposed to be meeting friends for lunch in a small village on the A1 called Elkesley which is a 35 mile drive.

Well we were late and as we didn't have a mobile number for them we couldn't let them know either. But lunch was good and it was also good to see them. P is in her eighties now and has gone through quite long spells of ill health, but seems to be on the up at the moment.

Once in the village it seemed a shame not to investigate the graveyard where there were some interesting family memorials, including the Needhams that had at least six stones representing their extended family. The earliest dating from the 1790's.

We hope to be setting off before lunch tomorrow and I'm unlikely to be able to blip for the week we're away as the signal on that part of the coast is very poor.

I'll catch up when I'm back. A whole week without my blipfix - the thought!
