Sunday 5 June 2011: Portavadie Marina
We had lunch today with friends at the Portavadie Marina Restaurant. It has only been open for two years, but it is now a firmly established favourite in the area. The Marina itself goes from strength to stregth, or should that be from new build to new build. The bistro, the hotel and the staff block are all now open at the end of the Portavadie pier, and there are more luxury self catering apartments every time we go. It is truly an astonishing place, which has risen very quickly from the old dock basin which never built an oil rig !
BTW it was raining again - the "dry spell' lasted just over three days.
