Cruising

Today we had a cruising day at sea. No ports of call, just steaming at 20 knots north all day as we headed towards Alaska.

For most of the day we were out in open water, with the mountains of the Queen Charlotte Islands on our port side, and the mountains of British Columbia (pictured) on our starboard.

With all our free time, it gave us a great chance to relax and sample all the ship had to offer.

I went to a talk by one of the bridge officers on navigation at sea (you never know when it might come in handy). I was feeling quite young in comparison to some of the passengers on board, but that feeling disappeared when I realised I was older than the 1st officer on board.

Emma did a scrapbook class. We then spent the afternoon reading our books, sipping on some wine, eating far too much food and enjoying day 2 of beautiful weather.
