New Riverside Museum, Glasgow

Due to open on 21 June, this is Zaha Hadid's first major building in Britain. A very striking design. We are all looking forward to seeing the new displays inside and taking in this new space. So many lines here, and interesting reflections in the glass.

In front of the museum, on the River Clyde, is the tall ship Glenlee, which was moved a short distance down the river recently, to become part of this new transport museum.

We went "Doon the Watter" with our visitors today, rather cold, but a very interesting sail along the river. Tonight we have been sampling Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, with Cranachan for dessert, together with some Scottish music. I even managed to organise a bagpipe player ... no expense spared you know!
