I was trying (unsuccessfully) to get a shot of the starlings "bathing" in the bird bath - they appear to be the only ones that wash hereabouts - when a sudden, short, sharp thunderstorm put paid to the idea.

This was my "ranging" shot .... sometimes you get lucky!

Managed to get the camera in and dried before any major damage occurred...
