Wednesday 8 June 2011: Young Andra's 28th
I was somewhat reluctantly tempted down to the ale house by an SMS text (what a wonder it is!) from young Andrew (left) celebrating his birthday. I raised a glass to him before taking a quick blip and retreating to join the crones in the opposite corner of the bar. Andrew's crew were intently involved in discussion with a tibetan chap (right), so I was able to fiddle awhile with my settings.
Meanwhile in the back room, others were setting to and fiddling with fiddles; what caught my ear however was a concertina playing a delightful little shanty. It got me thinking: perhaps I ought to have one of these for my long sea voyages to Burntisland. Yes, surely it can't be that difficult can it?
