An Apple a Day

As usual, for the June long weekend we went up to the farm. When we got there, we heard the apple tree was full of fruit ripe for picking so we made our way to the back paddocks to check it out.

Papa was ready with his ladder and quickly climbed the tree before I could even jump out of the truck. I've never seen him so excited. I think it might have reminded him of when he was a kid climbing trees and eating food from the source.

This is a photo of him in the midst of his joy! He said, "Mary, here's a good one. Take a photo!". There were bags and bags of good ones in the end.
