Thrill My Gorilla

Well, Hello!

Yes i've been to sunny Rotherham today, land of Jamie Oliver inspired school meals, The Chuckle Brothers, home of Crinoline and canals, and of course as you will have seen in a previous blip, huge plastic Gorillas that sit astride people's flat roofs looking...well, a bit odd really!!

I was actually in the shop that sells these the other day, bizarrely enough it is in a rather posh fronted, normal slightly staid looking antique shop, all pine and lavender scented furniture, then you turn a corner and BANG!!!

A menagerie of the finest collection of huge plastic animals you'd ever wish to see, Gorillas vie for space with meerkats, meerkats trip themselves up over goats and lambs, and the goats and lambs squabble for centre stage with various little woodland creatures..all watched over by the giant Great White Shark's head, mouth open teeth to the fore...

and in case you fancy one of these gems, the gorilla will set you back something in the region of 300 quid, and then you've got to transport it home...

Actually that'd be quite fun,pulling up at the lights with an angry gorilla on its haunches trying to get out of the convertible..

i might buy one just for that, wheres the cheque book?
