La vida de Annie

By Annie

Not a sea urchin...

... although it was going to be - I reckon I could get 6 different blips out of it if I'm desperate, which I am most days. Instead a good Samaritan took me for a wheel round the park for a welcome bit of fresh air, and I spied this couple in the ornamental gardens, he quietly playing whatever that is (a lute?) and she singing, also quietly. They were fully absorbed in what they were doing, (composing a song perhaps?) and although I was quite close to them pretending to look at the lilypond, they were quite oblivious. I couldn't make out what the song was, so will insert a link to this one, as it's a favourite of mine.

Quite tired now - think I need some red bull - see year-ago blip.

In my heart is where I long for you
In my smile I search for you
Each time you turn and run away
I cry inside my silly way
Just too young to know anymore

In my world the devil dances and dares
To leave my soul just anywhere
Until I find peace in this world
I'll sing a song everywhere I can
Just too young to know anymore

The wing covers me cold
The starry skies all around my eyes
Far behind the city moans
Well worthy of the people there

Oh, the psalms they love to hear

So let me sing a song for you
Just to help your day along
Let me sing a song for you
One I've known so very long
Oh please, would you find the time...
