Wheelbarrow Race

Carnival week in Bakewell continues apace with the streets thronged with people as tonight saw the amazing spectacle that is the Wheelbarrow race.
This was the pick of dozens of elaborately turned out entrants, a fantastically adorned wheelbarrow that came as the Icelandic volcano that had wreaked transport havoc last year.
It belched out an 'ash' cloud throughout it's beer driven journey, culminating in a confetti belch at the finish line.
