Today was all about the sky

This is the stunning Camas a Charraig beach at Mellon Udrigle. We've had generally stunning skies all day, but this was about the most scenic.

Today we also visited the second world war gun emplacements and such like built around Loch Ewe to defend the Arctic Convoys that set off from there for Murmansk. Impressive, lonely, brooding and other adjectives come to mind.

As yesterday we also visited an excellent little cafe. They seem to have proliferated here. We also learnt about a hippy settlement at Scouraig just across Little Loch Broom.

So much more going on here than you might think at first sight. But in the end, as so often in Scotland, it's all about the skies.

Which are just raining on us. Boohoo.
