Thursday 21 July 2011: Blue Tie
More from the workshop I am taking: No collage to show today, although I did spend some time ripping up photos and gluing the pieces to a big piece of paper. The idea was then to draw on the paper, or maybe paint or write. True confessions: I made myself do it, but I was very very uncomfortable. The point is to eventually get beyond one single rectangular image on a page, and also to break away from Photoshop!, but my first go-round felt forced and fake.
As for the blue tie, it's at least fifteen feet tall, and it was just standing there near the trash.
