Was It Really So Long Ago

That's All Folks!

I headed with camera and 50mm lens (because its sharp) to the old part of the village this evening, rather too late to catch the best of the light. The church, Lawford Hall and the old school house are now set apart from the rest of the village, so its a quiet place to be.

I checked in with the grandparents in the churchyard and a couple of other notable locals before heading across the lane to the meadow in front of the Hall. No sooner than I had passed through the hedge and into the field, these beauties beamed in a we are your blip today, even if you don't know it kind of way.

They must be about the last to flower this year and will be gone in couple of days or less. So here they are. Oh and a lesson learned - when shooting with a fixed lens, before lying down on your belly to get the sky in the background, make sure you've framed the shot. Otherwise you'll be shuffling backwards in the grass and might just be unlucky enough to find yourself smearing cow pat over your trousers.

I hope you like it.
