Thursday 17 April 2008: West Highland Way
Took the day off to meet up with the 42s on a leg of their trip up the West Highland Way. We did the stretch from Inveroran to the Kings House, over Rannoch Moor.
A really nice day - reasonable weather and easy walking in good company. It's years since I've done a stretch of the WHW, and I was amazed how busy it was. I mean not busy busy busy, but for a walk in the middle of nowhere in Scotland, quite busy. We must have seen about 50 other people. But at least most people are heading the same way, so it never feels crowded.
This is the view of Buachaille Etive Mor that is revealed just before you reach the Kings House at the head of Glencoe. 42 and I went a bit blip-happy at this point.
