Friday 29 July 2011: Early Risers

The first day of our lake trip, we all sipped coffee while watching the glassy smooth lake turn to ripples and then to waves. A cozy morning amongst friends, but a lost opportunity to grab the nice water.

Every morning after, the boat was fired up around 9 in the morning and most of the group was on board in sweatshirts and swimsuits getting ready to start the day the right way. On the water and eventually, in the water.

This is a good friend of ours enjoying a morning wake boarding run on the smooth lake water. I took this photo with an artsy angle in mind. I like how the spray from the boat is the focus with the spray from his board subdued in the background.

Five whole days of this with two other good family friends and a third family on the way for the weekend. The start of an annual tradition most definitely. How lucky we are to be able to surround ourselves with such positive, warm and caring people. And adventurous!!!
