A dull day, nothing so exciting happened to feel happy for, with no feelings one starts towards tennis court (tries to change the mood but music didn't help much). SOME GOOD SHOTS, Couple of winning SETS & a sudden change in the canvas of SKY definitely does magic. DARK black clouds gathered and stole The SUN.

A strange thing happened; In last so many months today for the first time after witnessing such beautiful evening a thought for blip didn't strike. BUT I felt like Asha Di is singing Gulzar's words arranged in Pancham's tunes ~ Phir se Aaiyo Badra Bidesi.

An inspirational The Starfish Story:

While walking along a beach, an elderly gentleman saw someone in the distance leaning down, picking something up and throwing it into the ocean.

As he got closer, he noticed that the figure was that of a young boy, picking up starfish one by one and tossing each one gently back into the water.

He came closer still and called out, "Good morning! May I ask what it is that you are doing" ?

The young boy paused, looked up, and replied "Throwing starfish into the ocean."

The old man smiled, and said, "I must ask, then, why are you throwing starfish into the ocean" ?

To this, the young boy replied, "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them in, they'll die."

Upon hearing this, the elderly observer commented, "But, my boy, do you not realize that there are miles and miles of beach and there are starfish all along every mile" You can't possibly make a difference!

The young boy listened politely. Then he bent down, picked up another starfish, threw it back into the ocean past the breaking waves and said, "I just made a difference for that one." :)

The old man looked at the boy inquisitively and thought about what he had done and said. Inspired, he joined the little boy in throwing starfish back into the sea. Soon others joined, and all the starfish were saved.

Take Home:
Perseverance against great odds and against the criticism of others is the very hallmark of value-based idealism, as is refusing to accept failure. The understanding that we hold in our hands the power to change a life, a mind, or a circumstance today " right now " is a powerful insight and motivator. At the same time, idealistic acts, even highly symbolic ones, have the power to inspire others to act, and sometimes in numbers significant enough to make a major or even complete impact on the problem at hand.
