How many useless/forgotten things can you store underneath a bathroom sink?? Tony finally had his wish whilst we were away. The bathroom was remodelled and the huge mdf cupboard which housed the sink has gone, but now what to do with all the stuff which was in there? Any idea what a swiffer is? Well we have one and a box of accessories too. Six bottles of environmentally friendly toilet cleaner which makes us feel better about cleaning the loo, but doesn't actually clean the loo. A box load of creams and potions given to me as presents over the years, promising to iron out wrinkles and give me the complexion of a 26 year old - huh! That value pack of toilet rolls (50 of them!) which now won't lodge anywhere, a Rosemary Conley set of weighing scales which were too complicated to use, and I had to wear my glasses to read the reading - they must have weighed at least a few pounds! A dozen or so used toothbrushes, 'because they'll come in handy for those small cleaning jobs'...........

The bathroom apart, I had a very nice lunch at the Potting Shed with pal Helen who also retired this summer, so we have declared today the first of our 'Ladies who Lunch' outings. The way the pensions are going though, it may be bread and cheese at each other's houses in future!

The hoverfly looks more interesting in large!
