Near Hecata Lighthouse

Although we are very close to the highway, the walk is along a forested green velvet trail dripping with moss. We climb up toward the lighthouse and the view through the trees up the coast stretches forever. To complete the loop back to our campground we descend to the beach and walk on the flat warm sand for at least a mile.
Our pattern is to move camp every day, driving for a couple hours to a new and more fabulous spot along the ocean.
