Bright palings

After taking E and S to the station at Agde to catch their train to Paris, we cheered ourselves up by having lunch in a café at Le Grau d'Agde where they served a very good dish of sardines, mackerel and red mullet grilled on la plancha outside on the terrace next to our table. Then a swim in near-perfect sea: perfect temperature, but a bit crowded. This is the time of year when we begin to look forward to the empty beaches and still-warm sea of September.

I think this shot, in my seaside architecture series, may be my pinkest blip yet!
