Blipping the blippers

Back with A L and tea for a couple of hours. Pretty new boxes.

Then a rush along to Henderson's to meet Jussi, Lady Findhorn and Allan for a mini blipmeet. Jussi was in Edinburgh on a flying visit from Finland to take his 1000th blip and we were delighted to welcome to the home of Blip such a distinguished portrait photographer. I hope he doesn't mind my feeble efforts. (This is Jo's version. You can read and see more about Jussi here). He told us about his visit to Blipcentral, how he got hooked on blip and about photographing Finland's presidents starting with President Kekkonen, the longest serving. This photo appears on a bank card. (Don't worry, Tesco cards are safe from my efforts.) Unfortunately the 'lowcost' schedule means he has to leave on Friday before the Blip get together. Congratulations, Jussi.

It was also great to be able to congratulate Allan on finishing his dissertation. I hope the Professor approves. Whether he does or not it was a small Black Isle blonde to celebrate. Mine was a large dry white.

After lunch we found normal service had resumed and the rain had returned. I had a quick trip round the soggy Book Festival, completely missing the Chris Close photographic exhibition. Another day.

Attempts to visit my parents before they leave for France on Saturday also failed as they were out, so home for discussions with A and later C about our 'little local difficulty'. And I'm now up to 20 in support of the felling - 'Green Giant', your days are numbered.
