Busyish day - much needed haircut this morning, out to visit my Dad for lunch, playing in the park early afternoon, fringe show late afternoon and friends round for dinner in the evening.

The show was a play called John Peel's Shed and was average, essentially it was about one guys fascination with the radio, the power of broadcasting and the plethora of stations that are available. The John Peel link came in two parts - the star of the play had his interest in radio sparked by listening to John Peel and had won a box of records from John Peel's shed in a competition. The rest was fairly tenuous and the play itself was a bit disjointed. A pleasant enough way to spend an hour, but nothing to set the world on fire. I think the podcasts would be worth a listen though.

Here's something that seems to have lit up the blogosphere over the last couple of days. A collaboration between Bon Iver and James Blake. I'm a fan of both, but this track isn't working for me. I think they've taken the most grating bits of eachothers styles and mashed them together.
