Feelin' hot, hot, hot!

So hot the fields were steaming!

How mad is this? Yesterday morning the fields were like dustbowls, then in the afternoon it rained. Then this morning the sun came out and as the temperature rose so did the steam. Didn't happen on the grass fields just the ploughed one. It was very spooky!

A beautful day, sun and blue sky and just the right temperature.

Got loads done in the garden this morning (G, the courgettes are in).

Then nipped down to the beach for Campbell to have a wee swim and a chat with the seals.

Then got loads more done in the garden.

Then had a wee nap in the sunshine.

Then had dinner and a bottle of champagne. Normally we would go for a bottle of beer after a day's hard work in the garden but we'd ran out and the only thing chilled was the bubbly... still, needs must eh?

Edit - nearly forgot, thanks for the reminder G. The duck eggs were candled for the second time today. They were first done a week ago and 7 out of the 10 were showing signs of life. The 3 duds were replaced with a second setting of another 3 and all 10 were developing as they should be when candled tonight. Another 2 or 3 weeks to go.
