Sunday 10 April 2011: Rugby

An Australian school was visiting Samoa, helping raise money and foster rugby in the region, so of course we had to go along (and cheer the Samoans ;-)

Such a funny day, basically a rugby fest (all day) at the local school. We were treated like royalty, which I felt uncomfortable at (the palangi (us) had to have seats in the shade)), then we watched these big burly Samoans try to mash each other. Seriously, the ground shook on some occasions.

And then puny white Aussies came out, it just didn't look fair. But they played gallantly and no one died, so that was good. They don't win but lots of fun to watch.

Then back to the resort, more beer and swimming of course.
