Glints of gold

I normally find myself with a spare half hour between one son being dropped off at a sporting activity and the other one being picked up. If the weather's pish I go to tesco and read the magazines.

Tonight however it was a beautiful balmy evening so I took myself for a wander along Scapa beach. The sun was just dipping behind Wideford hill and was covering the water and sand in little splashes of gold light. Don't know if it was the lack of even the lightest of breezes blowing or the fact that I hadn't had my tea yet but I started having fanciful notions about it being escaped whisky from the distillery on the clifftop.
