Sunday 25 September 2011: The Aurora - 2

I went back to Auchenstarry this morning to get a few pictures of the boats leaving for Falkirk. What a difference from yesterday - a choice of parking spaces and only a small group of spectators.

The event to mark the 10th anniversary of the reopening of the Forth & Clyde Canal has been fascinating and this is my 5th consecutive Blip from the Canal and the festivities. I actually like this one the best. Its another shot of the Aurora I blipped on Friday but this time the owners are dressed for the occasion. They have also kindly given the steam a blast, and a sudden gust of wind resulted in a bit if wave power.
