Mount Rainier...it never fails to surprise you in just how big it is, and it seems to appear out of nowhere! So gorgeous.

Drove down to Mt. St. Helens today to the base camp at Windy Ridge! After dealing with Seattle traffic, going slightly crazy, and stopping in Puyallup for a break, we drove the rest of the way mostly in the dark. The good part of that was seeing the stars without much light pollution :) Met some of the geologists by the fire and turned in for the night.
