Dinner

Facts about today:

1. Jess and I have decided to get together and make dinner every few weeks since we live in the same general area now. Tonight was the night and it was amazing.

2. We made lemony zucchini goat cheese pizza, prosciutto & caramelized onion pizza, and grapefruit cupcakes. During the process, we had these amazing gin & grapefruit juice cocktails with rosemary sugar that have the best name - Italian Greyhounds.

3. It was a great night and so much fun - everything was delicious and we had a blast. How could the evening get any better, right?

4. After a truly tremendous fakeout, the Red Sox completely collapsed in the bottom of the 9th against the Orioles with two strikes on the batter and somehow let two runs in. Of course, shortly afterward, Tampa Bay managed to beat the Yankees in overtimes in the bottom of the 12th inning. My beloved Sox have officially choked and executed the absolute worst September collapse of any team in baseball history - from the top of the AL to not even in the playoffs in four weeks.

5. Of course, I find it rather suspicious that the Yankees slogged through 3 full innings of overtime against the Rays while the Sox played the Orioles, and literally minutes after the Sox lost the Rays scored. Yankees throwing the game? Wouldn't put it past them.

6. I have to stop ranting about baseball now.
