Some Days

?!

I've been passing this one for a while, always meaning to stop but always having too much traffic.

I am a professional horticulturist and know that brassicas are any member of the cabbage family (including sprouts, kohl rabi, mustard and even oilseed rape).

There my knowledge runs out for this sign.

When we first moved to this lovely part of Scotland, we were talking about the great merits of the local farm shop to the owner of the house we were then renting. She interrupted and told us in her very best Morningside accent, "My dears, if you are going to be staying in this area for long, you should get it right. It is pronounced nows and not nose!"

She might also be able to advise us about choosing syboes and tumshies, whatever they are!
