The great escape

Well, it's like the Cooler King bit anyway. You know, where he is in solitary confinement and just bounces the ball off the walls.

Today we have heard a few faint peeps and seen a fair bit of movement. If you look carefully, I hope you can see them, there are now quite a few shadowy marks on the eggs. These are where the ducklings are slowly chipping away at the shell to break through.

Most are small freckly marks but the egg top left has a big circle and in the middle is an small area that was thin enough for us to see slight movement inside.

Jaxter asked yesterday if we couldn't help them out of their shells. In the later stages once they've broken through you can give them help but until then it's best to let them be. I suppose if you were very experienced you could maybe know when it was safe to intervene but if you did it too early it might do more harm than good.

So, instead... we just watch and wait.
