Shiny your book is in the post. Thank you. I hope rather than expect you'll like it. I forgot to sign it - I hope you were joking. Well I didn't actually forget - the thought of signing it made me cringe so much that I couldn't hold a pen.
My alternative blip for the day was more roadkill: a little warbler lying in the road as I waited in the queue to get on the M5. It was too much of a downer to put it up as a blip, especially as the next car made it unrecognizable as a warbler or even a bird.
No matter how much the car designers try to make the latest model a thing of sleek beauty, in reality they are all incomparably ugly compared to a live warbler.
