Rough Road

I love how the oilseed rape crop transforms an ordinary scene. Without it this road with the sprayed edges would be rather ugly.

Clouds can be tricky. The yellow flowers need the sunshine to bring out the brightness, but it can be hard to pin down swiftly moving patches of sunlight. There were two different scenes I wanted to capture and I spent more than an hour just waiting for the right configuration of the sunshine. I chose this shot because not only is the sunshine where I wanted it, but I like the sweep of cloud complementing the road

The other I might blip another time, since the mountains are keeping out of sight.
