Sunday 30 October 2011: The Clocks Change
There is always something slightly melancholy about the first day after the clocks have gone back. It reaches four pm and darkness is clearly coming - particularly today when once again there has been torrential rain , despite a moderately hopeful first few hours when it merely drizzled !
Anyway the lamps are now on in the conservatory and this geranium, illuminated by one of them, is also ebbing away with the season and the light.
