I switched to winter tyres today - the first time I've bothered with them. I tend to do a lot of mileage during the festive season, and the last few years I've done far too many miles in pretty marginal conditions. Any extra safety marging I can add seems like good idea. I hear good things from other people who've used winter tyres, but I'll be interested to see if they make a noticeable difference...
