Wednesday 11 June 2008: Wharariki sand

The wind blows hard and regularly at Wharariki hence the rather stunning sand dunes that surround the beach. It's not unusual to feel like exposed skin is being sandpapered by the blown sand! It does make for some great patterns on the beach though.

It was a tough choice for blips today. The sand won out in the end over a black swan and some peacefulness though :)
