Lest we forget

Our year 10's are studying the Holocaust - through a variety if media, including the Diary if Anne Frank. Today we went on our trip to the Anne F exhibition. I've been blown away by the interest in the topic by some students and by the respect and grace shown by all. We were put in with a group from Nelson who would, one imagines be deemed 'better' than us but our group acquitted themselves well.

On a personal level- each time I do this topic or something like it I cannot help but be moved by the heroism if ordinary people in extraordinary times. More seriously I am appalled by the inhumanity if mankind
