The second half of life..

Friday 25 November 2011: Jimmy Mac

OK - so his name's not really Jimmy, but he is indeed a very proud Scotsman of the McDonald clan.

Born in Aberdeen . . . went to University and teachers college in Edinburgh . . . emigrated to New Zealand in 1976 . . . taught here ever since . . . retiring at the end of the year :)

Has a thistle tattoo too . . . wears the Jimmy Mac hat to special occasions like Rugby World Cup matches between Australia and Russia and is an all round great guy - especially as he obligingly entertained me on the beach this afternoon for this shot (and a good few others!)

Cheers Jimmy

And if you're wondering what all these saltires are (now there's a new word for my dictionary!) all will be revealed very soon ;)
