Monday 5 December 2011: Just Say When
The directions always say to prune the roses back when they go dormant. Well and good, but could someone please tell me when that is? Seems to me that winter used to be winter, but now we have a couple varieties of iris in full blossom along with the roses, complemented by crunchy frost on the ground in the early morning. I'm just trying to keep my ears warm as I watch all this unfold.
