Still Waters

Braved the elements to go for walk at lunch time, very chilly with big hail showers but the water was like glass, quite a contrast after yesterday rough sea. Looking out beyond the shelter of Schull harbour one could see the big waves breaking on the rocks but here along the sheltered foreshore, the water was really still. Watched this heron hunting for some lunch in the drifting seaweed.
Off out to a birthday supper tonight, having a very sociable time at the moment, lots of friends with birthdays in November and December!
Just heard that our phone and internet connection at home is down due to the adverse weather conditions, so I'm glad I've done an early blip at work!
