Barley Cove

Very chilly day, with big hail showers, rainbows and strong winds, hard to hold the camera still! Left Rachel covering the shop and went out to the end of the Mizen Peninsula, where my friend and colleague is house sitting, she had made a delicious soup, which was much appreciated , as I was really chilled after walking and blipping, in the elements.
In the summer, this area of sand dunes is sheltered from the wind, whereas the main beach is exposed to the Atlantic, the tidal estuary is warmer for swimming than the ocean.
Off to freespirals for dinner this evening, nice end to the week
