Saturday 17 December 2011: Waiting to hear
The three candidates for the job of first Leader of the Scottish Labour Party (third, fourth and fifth from the left) and the two unsuccessful candidates for Deputy Leader all wait to hear the announcement of the result of the poll for leader. If you haven't seen the news, the winner was Johann Lamont, in the centre of the picture. She was elected as the new Party Leader in Scotland on a majority of the electoral college in the first round of voting, and likewise Anas Sarwar was elected as the new Deputy Leader of the Party in Scotland on a majority of the electoral college in the first round of voting. I was there for the press call.
