Sap on Tap Pub

General principles... are to the facts as the root and sap of a tree are to its leaves.
Samuel Taylor Coleridge

It's cold this morning and the sparrows are back at the little maple tree tapping the tree for moisture and sweetness. The birds are busy and the drab Goldfinches look so lovely in the looped vines.

I'm dissolved in tears today, it seems the cat feud is back in full swing again. She acted out rather nastily while I was at painting and T who was working from home, had to separate them. Hopefully she will come to her senses sooner than last time and remember he is the same old Max that she always has co-existed with. He, an older diabetic, was standing up to her in the beginning, but now seems very, very nervous. She is hyper-vigilant and reacts to every noise or the sight of him. I'm dosing her with her Outburst drops and trying to be hopeful. We know the drill, but it is such a drag. We actually might put them both in their cases and take them for a ride, that worked after the trip to Maine last summer, but that was a 6.5 hours journey.

For the Record,
Today came in cold and cloudy.
