Thursday 22 December 2011: No Room at the Inn.....

Mary, Joseph and the Donkey made the dangerous trip to Jerusalem via Bethlehem where, they became very weary and were in need of a rest. They stopped at every Premier Inn and Travel Lodge along the way but there was no beds to be have anywhere.
When all seemed lost they came upon an Inn somewhere near Brierley Hill, (a small suburb of Bethlehem) Look it's me telling this tale!!

They came upon this small Inn but the Inn keeper said there was no room and as Mary and Joseph were just about to leave he turned to them and said they cold stay in the Stable as it was warm and cosy, he could see that Mary's time was close and he took pity on the couple.
As Mary lay down in the Stable (which looks just like our Summer House), she noticed all the animals that were gathering around, Calves, Horses, Pigs and of course Lambs, Oh no, Sheep again, Mrs BM I mean Mary has a phobia to sheep after the last couple of years.
The look on her face told a story in it's self, "Don't get any ideas (BM) Joseph, were not entertaining Shepherds this year" she said. "No my dear" Joseph muttered under his breath, "of course we aren't". He said a small prayer and looked sky ward. It was then he noticed a bright star in the East. "Oh Dear" he said out loud, " That will bring some unwanted visitors I am sure", and sure enough far away a group of Shepherds who were tending their sheep noticed the Star too.
At that, the same Angel appeared to them and told of a new born baby soon to come into the world, and his name would be Jesus, he would be the Messiah, the son of God.
They started the journey and followed the star, little did they know they were to meet their match in the guise of MRS BM??.
