Or Pirate's Cave if you're 3 and on an adventure.

"They're on holiday Daddy" was the matter of fact verdict when we didn't bump into any pirates.

I tried mentioning that this was the site of an Iron Age Fort and that the subterranean house and artifacts showed that people lived here for a period of around 700 hundred years.

This cut no ice. Pirates were required to get her to march up the hill and try to burn off some two days of excessive consumption.

I was just relieved to get two little girls who were suffering from cabin fever out of the house.

After lots of mud and exhaustion (we went for a walk to the reservoir) it was down to Ikea for some meat balls. Then back home to play Pop-up-Pirate.

Mummy and Daddy are now officially knackered.

I remember when post Xmas walks were relaxing.
