Saturday 31 December 2011: mahi-mahi
or common dolphinfish, AKA lampuga, lampuka, rakingo, calitos, maverikos or dorado.
Not a great pic I admit but it is the 1st living thing I have seen since sailing 3 days ago.
I had a polarising filter but sea state & the height / angle I was relative to it meant I could not cut the glare as much as I wished.
This Specimen was pretty big, about 5-6ft would be my estimate. the colours were pretty vivid as it flashed through the water
